Driver Bill of Rights

The following is a proposed Driver Bill of Rights. We wold like your input in the comments section below. We want genuine input, so we can put forward the best possible ideas. Trolls and toxic posting will be removed.

1. Drivers have the right to refuse any load they deem unsafe or overweight, without reprisal.

2. The Rate Confirmation is a legally enforceable contract. Providing drivers with an altered copy of a contract to which they are bound constitutes fraud.

3. Failure of shippers and receivers to abide by the terms of the Rate Confirmation is a breach of contract.

4. The driver’s time is valuable. Any driver held at a shipper or receiver for more than three hours is entitled to compensation for their time at a rate consistent with the drivers usual pay.

5. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure all reasonable efforts are made to be on time, however, safety outweighs punctuality. Provided the driver acts responsibly, reasonable allowances should be made for late cargo.

Comments section coming soon. We can’t wait to hear from you!
